What Employers are Saying about HTM Interns:

Northwest Visitor Center
Describes their student intern as a real gift…someone who does their own legwork before asking for help, who is always the first to jump up when someone comes in and whom “everybody likes”. Someone who “gets it”.

Casino, Las Vegas (online student from Nevada)
The F&B Director for Las Vegas Casino, states that they've had "many" interns from UNLV in other parts of the casino, but our student is the first intern in their corporate offices. The internship is described as "Ideal" and they are impressed with the student and a program that requires such a detailed evaluation on their work experience. Our HTM student is currently doing rotations through a series of restaurants in the casino and is focusing on the beverage side. Later the student will work in the corporate headquarters to do special projects through the end of the term.

Oregon Non-Profit Organization
This HTM student is getting an event management certificate. The non-profit organization has a large annual conference and the internship is focused on planning the conference with their event manager. Our student is engaged in several aspects of the conference, from meal planning to room blocks to set up of break-out rooms.
